Making a cup of tea

Fill the kettle with water

Start with fresh, cold water for the best results.

Fill the kettle

Set the kettle to boil

Only boil the water once. Any more and it loses aeration.

Boil the kettle

Put the tea bag in your mug

If it has a little, dangly tag, make sure that hangs outside the cup.

Add teabag to the mug

Pour in the boiled water

Some people like to add milk before this step, but tea brews better in boiling water.

Add boiled water

Let it brew

Wait for three to five minutes. Longer is stronger.

Let it brew

Take out your teabag

Don't squeeze the bag; it might make your brew bitter.

Take out the teabag

Make it your own

Add sugar or honey, milk or lemon. Or anything else you like to make it fabulous.

Customise your brew

Enjoy!

You've earned it.
